JERUSALEM: The Israeli air force launched attacks at three sites in the Gaza Strip on Saturday morning, the military said, hours after a rocket fired from the enclave exploded near a house in southern Israel. A statement from the army said that its "aircraft targeted a terror activity site in the northern Gaza Strip, and two terror activity sites in the central Gaza Strip. Direct hits were confirmed." "The sites were targeted in response to the rocket fire towards southern Israel," the statement added.


SWAT/NOWSHERA: Some key-accused involved in the Malala Yousafzai attack have been arrested on Saturday here, Geo News reported.
Law enforcing agencies said that on the information obtained from the persons held in Swat, an operation was launched by and police officials at Bara Khara of Akbarpur in Nowshera arrested three brothers involved in the attack on Malala.
All the three accused Irfan, Abdul Haji and Inam belong to Tehreek-e-Taliban and are residents of Mingora, Swat. The accused have been shifted to an unknown place for interrogations. Weapons and other documents recovered from the accused have also been taken into custody.
Earlier, four persons including a chowkidar and an accountant of Malala’s school were taken into custody in Swat.
