4 injured, 3 vehicles torched near Water Pump roundabout


KARACHI: As many as four people were injured and three vehicles were set ablaze by unknown people near Water Pump roundabout in Karachi, Geo News reported on Monday.
According to the reports, situation turned ugly after intense firing broke out as processions of two religious parties, belonging to two different schools of thoughts, came close near Yousuf Palaza.
A procession was heading towards the Wadi-e-Hussain graveyard on the Super High Way while the other was on its way to attend a gathering when the incident occurred.
Rangers and police rushed to the spot to bring the situation under control. The motives behind the firing were yet to be ascertained.
Karachi has been witnessing an unending sectarian violence with people from two different sects falling victim to the gory incidents of targeted killings.
Provincial authorities remain helpless to put an end to the killings.
