KARACHI: Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah said Sunday that the main responsibility of the Rangers and police was to provide security to the people.
Shah added that the responsibilities of the Rangers and police were not limited to just providing protocol. According to the spokesperson for the CM House, the chief minister visited several police stations across Karachi and expressed anger over the lack of policemen at several important intersections of the city.
Shah said that action would be taken against police officials and personnel who were not performing their duties.
Meanwhile, SP Traffic District Central has been immediately suspended, while all DPOs and DSPs have been directed to ensure 24 hour patrolling.
