President, PM, others condole Iqbal Haider's death


KARACHI: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf have expressed their grief and sorrow over the death of social and political leader Iqbal Haider, while condolences keep pouring in from several local and foreign socio-political personalities.
In their separate messages‚ President and PM lauded his services for the cause of democracy and human rights in the country. They prayed for eternal rest to the departed soul and courage and fortitude to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
Muslim League-N president Nawaz Sharif and Punjab chief minister, Shahbaz Sharif have also condoled the death of Iqbal Haider and prayed that may God rest his soul in peace and give patience and forbearance to the heirs of the deceased.
Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Quaid Altaf Hussain in a message to the bereaved family condoling the death of Iqbal Haider said that all the office-bearers and workers of MQM equally share their grief and sorrow.
Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad, chief minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah, ANP chief Asfandyar Wali, Jamaat-e-Islami Amir, Syed Munawwar Hassan, former member national assembly Muzaffar Hashmi and other have also condoled his death.
