Islamabad Police chalk out security plan for Muharram


ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police have chalked out security plan for Muharram-ul-Haram, Geo News reported.
As per the strategy, around 4,500 security personnel including police, Rangers and FC will perfume duty to avert any untoward incident in the federal capital.
According to Islamabad police spokesman, 177 processions and 909 Majalis would be held in the city. 144 Majalis and 14 Imambarghah’s have been declared sensitive.
Various teams of police have been constituted for patrolling and deployment at mosques and Imambarghahs.
SDPO and SHO would perform surveillance duties of processions.
