Malala Day to help promote education: Altaf


LONDON: Altaf Hussain appreciating UN’s declaration of November 10 as Malala Day said that this would help promote education, especially female education in Pakistan, Geo News reported.
In a statement issued here, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Quaid Altaf Hussain thanked the UN on behalf of himself and the entire nation for observing Malala Day all across the world and said that Malala Yousafzai was that brave daughter of nation, who held the candle of light in the darkness of illiteracy and not only courageously confronted the extremists opposed to female education, but made the nation united and strong.
MQM Quaid appealed to the people of Pakistan, especially the female/male youths to arrange vigil, hold seminars and conferences on the eve of Malala Day affirming their unanimity with the cause of Malala Yousafzai, Kainat and Shazia and pray for their health and happiness.
