Sehba Musharraf accounts case: Hearing adjourned till Nov.17


ISLAMABAD: The Rawalpindi Anti-Terrorism Court on Saturday adjourned the hearing of the petition against the seizure of the assets of former military ruler Pervez Musharraf’s assets filed by his wife, Sehba Musharraf, to Nov 17, Geo News reported.
The petition, filed in response to the Benazir Bhutto assassination case, was heard by Justice Chaudhry Habibur Rehman.
During the hearing, Sehba’s counsel Advocate Ilyas Siddiqui informed the court that he had been unsuccessful in contacting his client for obtaining the information about the bank accounts and get evidence confirming that these were of her personal income.
Subsequently, the court granted him time and adjourned the hearing until Nov 17.
Earlier, the court had ordered to confiscate the properties and the accounts of her husband, former President Pervez Musharraf in the Benazir Bhutto assassination case.
Sehba Musharraf in a petition had taken the stance that her accounts frozen were from her own source of income and thus prayed for their restoration.
