CJP Iftikhar Chaudhary hails incumbent parliament


ABBOTTABAD: Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary has said that all are bound to respect the constitution, Geo News reported.
Speaking at a ceremony of High Court Bar here Saturday, the chief justice said there is sheer difference between past and today’s judiciary.
CJP Iftikhar Chaudhary hailed efforts of lawyers and said the ‘Black Coats’ have struggled hard for the supremacy of justice.
He said they do not believe anything except the constitution, adding today’s parliament and judiciary are bound under the constitution. The chief justice acclaimed the present parliament for elimination of 8th and 17th Amendment from the 18th constitutional amendment. He said four governments were removed through 58(2b).
