Death toll in Karachi violence climbs to 15


KARACHI: Eight more people lost their lives and several others sustained injuries in separate firing incidents in the metropolis, raising the death toll to 15 on Saturday, Geo News reported.
According to reports, unknown miscreants intercepted a car and opened fire on it near Saifi college in North Nazimabad, killing two people on the spot. Bodies were transferred to Abbasi Shaheed hospital.
Sources said the deceased were residents of New Karachi.
In another incident of firing, a man was shot dead in North Nazimabad.
Meanwhile, unidentified outlaws sprayed bullets at a hotel near a seminary in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block-II, resulting several people were injured. The injured were shifted to local hospital, where, six of them succumbed to bullet wounds.
In the morning today, five persons were gunned down across the metropolis.
According to police, unknown gunmen killed a man in Korangi area while four bodies were found from Purana Golimar bearing gunshots.
